Who lives here?

That’s one of the first questions that pops into my head when I walk into any space. It’s one of the reasons I love my work so much—my curiosity, the voyeurism and storytelling of the (frequently) unknown inhabitant of the space. And this question is the genesis of this new project: Multistory.

They are distinctly and uniquely New York. We see them walking down Fifth Avenue, on the subway, in line at the grocery store. Their personal style captivates our attention and we want to know more. In this ongoing project, I’m going to be photographing colorful New Yorkers in their longtime spaces, exploring the stories told when resident and residence merge.
